Overview

The American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) requires board-certified allergists/immunologists to participate in its Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. The program uses a Continuous Assessment Program (CAP) model with two five-year cycles over the 10-year certification period. MOC is voluntary for time-unlimited certificate holders.

MOC Requirements

To maintain your ABAI certification, you must:

  2. Complete CME requirements — 25 credits annually (250 total over 10 years)
  3. Participate in CAP — Complete questions in each six-month block
