Overview

The Guam Board of Medical Examiners (GBME) requires physicians to complete 100 CME credits every 2 years — one of the higher requirements among U.S. jurisdictions. At least 50% must be AMA PRA Category 1. A one-time 2-credit Ethics requirement applies to all physicians. PAs are licensed through the separate Guam Board of Allied Health Examiners (GBAHE) and must contact the board directly for specific CME hour requirements.

  2. 50% Category 1 minimum — Plan for at least 50 Category 1 credits
  3. One-time Ethics — Complete 2-hour ethics requirement early
  4. Category 2 flexibility — Up to half your credits can be Category 2
  5. PAs: Contact GBAHE directly — Requirements not available online
  6. Different boards — MDs use GBME, PAs use GBAHE
